About DS
Dominique Symone is an Artist and Organizer who describes herself as, “Texas bred with a Georgia bed.” She’s spent the last ten years creating bold campaigns and community conversations for material change. She crafts written pieces, interactive programs, discussions, and events for the sole purpose of challenging our societal conditions.
As a Poet, Performer, and Principled Provocateur she uses her love for people and hope for better futures to express her most radical dreams. Her current project, Somethin’ Different, explores how we contend with concepts of Money, Power, Pleasure, and Relationships through the lens of Art in the Black american South - starting with her thoughts and inviting others into the conversation with her.
Dominique Symone believes we are all connected in this work and engaging revolution is part of taking responsibility for what we owe to each other, our future, and to ourselves.
